So many different types of fruit- Raspberries, Gooseberries, Blueberries and more... Growing soft fruit in your garden is beneficial, providing you with fresh, healthy and delicious produce

Raspberries

Raspberries are one of the easiest fruits to grow, they are hardy plants that produce sweet fruit and are suitable for most locations

Blueberries

Blueberries are great for growing in smaller gardens, they can be grown in the ground or in a container, using ericaceous compost because they need acidic soil

Blueberries are also ornamental, with pretty flowers in Spring and beautiful foliage in Autumn

Gooseberries

Gooseberries can grow up to 1.2m high and wide, either in the ground or in a container, even up a wall to save space

Plant in sun or partial shade, they should be pruned twice a year to keep them in good shape and maximise harvest

Strawberries

Strawberries are easy to grow and once they are more established they are very low-maintenance, home-grown strawberries provide a healthy and a nutritious treat which can be used in desserts or jams

Saskatoon berry, Honeyberry and Gojiberry

Saskatoon berry look a bit like blueberries but have a nutty, almond- like taste

The flavour of a honeyberry is often described as a combination of blueberry, raspberry and grape

The Gojiberry has a taste of sweet and tangy, often compared to a cross between a cranberry and a cherry

All three of these berries are a great source of Vitamins and Antioxidants
